Daria Morgendorffer resides with her parents, Helen and Jake, who are both preoccupied with their careers, and her perpetually charming and well-liked younger sister, Quinn. Alongside her fellow outsider and best friend, Jane Lane, Daria navigates the halls of Lawndale High School, a place teeming with superficial and dim-witted individuals. Armed with a keen mind and an even more acerbic wit, Daria critiques anyone she considers to be shallow, which, in her view, includes nearly everyone around her.
