Combat Hospital was a medical drama series produced collaboratively by Canada and the UK, shot in Toronto. It premiered on Global in Canada on June 21, 2011, and was also shown in the United States on ABC. The series concluded with its last episode on September 6, 2011. Initially, it was temporarily titled The Hot Zone before reverting to Combat Hospital. On October 24, 2011, ABC announced that the show would not return for a second season. Later, on December 16, Shaw Media confirmed that they were unable to secure a new broadcaster after ABC’s decision to discontinue the series, resulting in its cancellation.
