Asta and Yuno were left at the same church as infants and have been inseparable ever since. As kids, they vowed to compete against each other to determine who would become the next Emperor Magus. However, as they matured, their differences became evident. Yuno was naturally gifted with magic, displaying extraordinary power and control, whereas Asta was unable to use magic and compensated by focusing on physical training. At the age of 15, when they received their Grimoires, Yuno was given an exceptional one with a four-leaf clover (while most people receive a three-leaf clover), and Asta received nothing. Yet, when Yuno faced danger, Asta’s true power emerged, and he obtained a five-leaf clover Grimoire, known as a “black clover.” Now, the two friends are venturing into the world, both aiming for the same ambition!
