The series takes place in the formative years of Bruce Wayne’s journey as Batman, focusing on his early confrontations with organized crime. Throughout the season, he refines his abilities with the help of his butler, Alfred Pennyworth. Bruce meets Tatsu Yamashiro, Alfred’s goddaughter, who is a master of martial arts and swordsmanship. She is employed to protect Bruce as his bodyguard and is also enlisted to become Batman’s superhero ally.
