In the not-so-distant future, a strange global event unfolds as intense bursts of light emerge from the ocean, bringing individuals from bygone eras back to life. These “beforeigners” hail from three distinct historical periods: the Stone Age, the Viking era, and the late 19th century. Fast forward a few years, and Alfhildr, a woman from the Viking Age, teams up with Lars Haaland, a jaded police officer, to solve the murder of a beforeigner. Together, they start to uncover a deeper conspiracy linked to the enigmatic mass arrivals.
