Moritaka Mashiro, a junior high student who is satisfied with his ordinary life, is encouraged by his classmate, Akito Takagi, to pursue a career as a mangaka after Akito recognizes his exceptional artistic skills. Despite this, Moritaka hesitates to follow his passion because his uncle, who was once a successful mangaka, passed away due to overwork while trying to reclaim his former glory. With Akito’s assistance, they involve another classmate, Azuki Miho, who is Moritaka’s crush and an aspiring voice actress, to promise to voice a character in the anime adaptation of their future manga. In a surprising turn, Mashiro proposes to Azuki, and she agrees, but only if they both achieve their dreams first. Motivated by this promise, Mashiro embarks on a challenging journey to become a renowned mangaka.
