Esteemed appraiser Rachel (Lindsey Shaw) is informed that her prestigious client intends to purchase a cherished library in a small town to construct a resort and spa on the site. Although Rachel is strongly opposed to leaving New York City, she is overruled by her boss. Consequently, she packs her bags and heads to California. On her initial visit to the library, she encounters Jake (Derek Theler), an author delving into the legend of Captain Black Bart’s hidden treasures for his upcoming book. In an effort to preserve the library, the librarian, Mrs. Archer (Rachel Ticotin), encourages Jake to demonstrate to Rachel the library’s significance to the town. Despite being busy with his research and looking after his niece, Hailey (Chiara Aurelia), and nephew, Noah (Max Page), for the summer, Jake agrees to assist. As Rachel discovers the library’s importance to the community, she must devise a plan to save it before it’s too late.
