Journalist Sara has dedicated four months to crafting a comprehensive investigative report. However, her editor-in-chief, wary of upsetting influential politicians and business leaders, decides not to publish it. Sara’s boyfriend, who is also employed at the same publication, fails to alert her and even aligns himself with the editor-in-chief’s decision. In an instant, Sara becomes disillusioned with her career, her romantic relationship, and life in general. At this low point, she retreats to Chiang Mai, Thailand. One night at a bar, she encounters Dok-My, a child prostitute. As Sara spends time with Dok-My and works to help her, she is increasingly troubled by memories of her own past.
