“Samantha Rose” is a coming-of-age film set in the picturesque Pacific Northwest. The story follows Sam Rose, a non-binary actor, as she navigates the challenges of family dependency and a lack of direction. Upon returning to her hometown in northern Oregon, Sam reconnects with a childhood friend and his eclectic group of companions who live in a commune. Together, they work the autumn harvest in the nearby vineyards. This unconventional family of free-spirited individuals embarks on a journey of self-discovery and healing with Sam. The film features motorcycle rides, homemade wine, midnight swims, bonfires, horseback riding, camping, and a blossoming romance, all of which help Sam realize that her life truly belongs to her.
