Jack is wandering without a destination on a desolate road with his imaginary partner, Sally, when he encounters Beth. Their pair becomes a trio when Bugs, a mental patient on the run who is also obsessed with an imaginary woman named Sally, joins Jack and Beth on their journey. Tensions among the newfound companions arise alongside a string of violent and unlawful encounters.
