“Running Time” is a black-and-white film shot in real time, giving the impression of being captured in one seamless take, reminiscent of Hitchcock’s “Rope,” but set in real-world locations. The story follows Carl, a former convict who, after spending a decade behind bars, devises a plan to rob the prison laundry system where he worked for five years. Upon his release, he reconnects with a high school friend who has organized the heist and even arranged for Carl to meet a woman for the first time in ten years. With their team assembled, including a safecracker and a getaway driver, they have just twenty minutes to execute the flawless robbery. However, things quickly unravel for Carl, though there’s still a chance he might win over the girl. Written by Scary Mary.
