In a bygone era, a miller sought to wed his daughter to the King by claiming she possessed the magical ability to transform straw into gold. Assisted by a malevolent imp, she accomplishes this feat, but the King’s avarice grows, and he demands even more. Desperate, she pledges her first child to the imp in exchange for further assistance. However, when the time comes to fulfill her promise, sinister powers converge as the imp strikes a pact with the devil.
