G.T. Benz, a Vietnam veteran and recent widower, struggles with the challenges of aging and solitude, all while being harassed by a persistent robo-caller. His monotonous and frustrating daily life is occasionally brightened by weekly gatherings with his fellow Vietnam veterans, who, like him, were once fighter pilots. He eagerly anticipates a promised visit from his long-absent daughter, Tricia, whom he calls “my only reason for living.” A grim diagnosis from his doctor heightens his urgency to see her at least one more time. However, Tricia, unaware of G.T.’s health condition, continues to delay her visit. In the meantime, one of his Vietnam friends passes away, and the robocalls become more frequent. When a manipulative woman from G.T.’s past reappears, his life spirals into chaos, leading him to take a drastic step.
