David Byrne, known for his work as both a visual artist and musician, has always aimed to make his concerts more dynamic than traditional performances. In 1984, alongside filmmaker Jonathan Demme, he pushed the limits of concert films with the Talking Heads documentary “STOP MAKING SENSE.” Over 25 years later, Byrne collaborated with David Hillman to produce “RIDE, RISE, ROAR,” a film capturing his 2008-2009 tour. This tour featured new songs co-created with Brian Eno, alongside beloved tracks from his solo career and his time with Talking Heads. Through the use of creative costumes and choreography, Byrne, along with his band and dancers, delivers a stage show that matches the energy and excitement of his music.
