Savannah Delongpre, a prosperous fashion model residing in New York City, returns to her hometown in Georgia to visit her affluent grandmother, Belle, and reminisce about her childhood with some old friends who still live there. During her visit, she encounters Jake Gilbert, a rugged drifter and artist residing on Belle’s estate, Two Moon Junction. Jake’s family has been feuding with Savannah’s for many years. Seeking an escape from her hectic life, Savannah embarks on a passionate affair with Jake, despite Belle’s warnings that he is unsuitable for her or anyone else. The greatest challenge to their relationship, however, comes from Savannah’s possessive boyfriend, Robert Lee, who arrives with plans to separate them by purchasing the Two Moon Junction property to force Jake out.
