A solitary waitress, feeling down on her luck, encounters a charming and eccentric clerk at a jewelry store and believes she may have finally found her perfect match. As Molly (played by Alexis Bledel) spends more time with Gus (portrayed by Zachary Levi), her fascination with him grows. However, she also finds him puzzling. Gus seems distracted and forgetful. Is he concealing something? The answer is: indeed, he is. He hesitates to reveal that after experiencing a brain aneurysm, he has completely lost his short-term memory. Each day is a fresh start for him, and every time he meets Molly, he struggles to recall who she is and what she means to him. Each day, he must fall in love with her anew.
