Following his father’s passing, young Carabas sets out on a journey to find his fortune, accompanied by the cat belonging to the malevolent landlord. To Carabas’ surprise, the cat is able to speak and comes up with a scheme to make him wealthy. The first step in this plan involves the cat donning Carabas’ boots.
