A gripping tale of addiction and the struggle to conquer it, this film is adapted from Jerzy Plich’s acclaimed novel “The Mighty Angel” (also known as “The Strong Angel Inn”). The story follows Jerzy (played by Robert Więckiewicz), a writer battling alcoholism. At a pivotal moment, he is convinced he can overcome his dependency. He falls for a young woman (portrayed by Julia Kijowska), finding in her both a purpose and a reason to live. However, he soon succumbs once more to his addiction.
