Damien Booster, a somewhat successful podcaster, is enjoying his single life until a regular fling declares her love for him and issues an ultimatum. She tells him that if he attends brunch to meet her mother, she’ll take it as a sign of his commitment. If he doesn’t, their relationship is over. Afraid to confront his true emotions, Damien chooses to end things, but this decision sends his mind into a tailspin, plagued by unsettling visions of commitment. This turmoil coincides with a visit from his best friend from his hometown to Los Angeles.
