Ibrahim, a soldier from Morocco, is assigned to a remote island along the Mediterranean shoreline of Morocco to keep an eye on the activities of smugglers and unauthorized migrants. One day, he discovers Mamadou, a man from Sub-Saharan Africa, who has been washed ashore. As the two unexpected companions struggle to endure life on the tiny island, they unintentionally set off a diplomatic conflict that escalates into a military crisis affecting the region.
