In this film, a young man named Ben Freidman, portrayed by Scott Wilson, has been brought up by affluent Jewish adoptive parents in Beverly Hills. He feels prepared to seek out his birth parents. However, he is met with disillusionment when he discovers that his biological mother has passed away. Meanwhile, his biological father is living in a mental health facility.
