To what lengths would you go to be with your soulmate? In 2003, during a time of conflict in a nation where being gay is illegal, two Iraqi men unexpectedly find love. Nayyef, who works as a translator for the U.S. military, and Btoo, an Iraqi army soldier, risk severe punishment and even death if they remain in their country. After securing a visa, Nayyef departs, leaving Btoo behind, and relocates to Seattle. There, he is resolute in his mission to one day reunite with Btoo in a place where they can openly and safely express their love.
