Jill and Joy, both nine years old, enjoy living in their own specially designed house, which makes them perhaps a bit happier than most girls their age. One December evening, a tiny car, no bigger than a shoebox, arrives at their doorstep, and out steps the miniature McTiny family. Having lost their home to a road roller accident, the McTinys seek temporary refuge with Jill and Joy. However, they soon discover that not all adults have their best interests at heart. “Jill and Joy’s Winter” is adapted from a cherished book of the same title by Finnish author Marjatta Kurenniemi.
