When his aspirations to become the Chief of Surgery at a cutting-edge transplant center are hindered by his appearance, Amrit makes the difficult choice to cut his hair, breaking a lifelong tradition. Concealing this decision from his girlfriend and family in Toronto marks the beginning of a series of concessions he makes while navigating hospital politics and healthcare inequities. However, when these compromises lead to a patient’s death, Amrit starts to reconsider the importance of the religious traditions he had abandoned.
