NON PLUS ULTRAS is a comedy infused with social commentary, offering a satirical glimpse into a brief period in the lives of five ardent supporters of a Prague football club, known for their hardcore allegiance as ultras or hooligans. These individuals’ existence is centered around football, idolizing their “world-renowned” English counterparts and emulating them without question. The unofficial leader of this group is Bejcak, portrayed by David Novotny, a naturally authoritative and charismatic man in his early thirties. Despite his intelligence, he often misuses foreign words in slightly inappropriate contexts. The oldest in the group is Tycka, played by Vladimir Dlouhy, a solitary forty-year-old whom Bejcak has taken under his wing. Tycka stands out due to his age difference. Among the younger members is Pejsek, a stuttering enthusiast of all things English, played by Karel Zima. He is joined by the not-so-bright Potapec, portrayed by Michal Novotny, and the nimble Vocko, played by Matej Hadek, who is always concocting new mischievous schemes.
