After receiving an enigmatic and sinister African mask through the mail, Ellen Morris finds herself assaulted by an entity she calls THE NIGHTMARE MAN. Her physicians and her husband, William, are convinced that Ellen is suffering from paranoid schizophrenia and recommend that she undergo a thorough evaluation at a mental health institution.
