A quartet of bespectacled criminals, under the leadership of Kurt Bishop (McCarthy), is targeting high-value computer chips from various factories. On the evening they strike at Dynaphase Systems, two corrupt staff members are working late, using company assets to secretly create a lucrative security microchip. The unhinged Bishop storms the Dynaphase premises and extracts data from the mainframe before the employees can fully delete their project. Realizing the worth of the pilfered yet incomplete data, Bishop becomes determined to obtain the remaining chip design, stopping at nothing to achieve his goal.
