Upon being illegally brought into Trinidad, Zhenzhen faces immediate danger. Her brother Wei, employed in the island’s construction sector, steps in to help. Despite lacking the necessary funds, he vows to settle her debt. Wei secures a position for Zhenzhen at a local Chinese eatery and attempts to obtain an advance from his boss.
