The movie consists of a series of comedic short films, all tied together by a main storyline called “The Pitch.” In this segment, Charlie Wessler, an eccentric screenwriter, is trying to sell his script to film executive Griffin Schraeder. As Wessler shares various tales from his script, he grows frustrated when Schraeder rejects his wild concepts. In a fit of desperation, Wessler brandishes a gun, compelling Schraeder to hear more of his stories. Eventually, Wessler insists that Schraeder contact his manager, Bob Mone, to buy the film.
