During wartime, a man embarks on a journey to honor a promise and uncover the truth. After a devastating battle, he witnesses his close friend die, leaving him with a final request: to inform the king, the friend’s father, of his son’s death. Bound by this promise, the warrior sets out to meet the aging and ailing monarch, who has lost his only heir. The king insists that the warrior serve him, but the man, weary of conflict, yearns for a peaceful life. As he seeks tranquility, he encounters a beautiful young woman pursued by soldiers. He rescues her and learns she is a witch. With the Inquisition approaching the kingdom and newfound love in his heart, the warrior must take up arms once more to protect those he cherishes from further bloodshed.
