Chris has recently relocated to the East Coast, and his father, who is quite focused on work, is already urging him to make new acquaintances. Fortunately, the soccer season is kicking off, and Chris gets to know some of his teammates, including his charming neighbor, Mara. When Mara suggests they rescue some mistreated animals from the local fair, Chris agrees. They venture to the fair that evening but are caught by the ringleader, Malick, who chases them away. The following morning, Chris discovers that Momo, an endearing little monkey, has hidden in his backpack. Determined not to return Momo to Malick’s greedy hands, Chris must figure out how to keep him hidden. However, having a monkey around has its advantages: Mara is spending more time with Chris, and Momo is even helping him out on the soccer field. Chris’s summer promises plenty of monkey antics, but will it be enough to drive him crazy?
