Mio, a 20-year-old, was orphaned at a young age and has been managing a traditional inn in Nagano with her grandmother. When her grandmother falls ill, Mio relocates to Tokyo to stay with Kyosuke, her late father’s closest friend, who operates a public bathhouse. She starts working there, but the bathhouse is slated for demolition due to urban redevelopment plans.
