A trembling voice pleads with screenwriter Joel Brandt to answer the phone in a message left on his answering machine. Assuming it’s a joke, Joel erases the message. Soon after, the caller is discovered dead. Another message follows, leading to another murder… and then another… and another. The murderer now has Joel’s full attention, as well as that of the police. As the main suspect in a string of killings, Joel realizes that this deranged killer has chosen him for a reason hidden within his own work. Can Joel alter his fate, or will he face the ultimate consequence?
