Mali’s cultural essence is deeply intertwined with its music. However, this heritage faces a threat from radical Islamist forces. Accompanied by prominent figures in Malian Global Pop, such as Fatoumata Diawara, Bassekou Kouyaté, Master Soumy, and Ahmed Ag Kaedi, we set off on a musical expedition to the turbulent core of Mali.
