This narrative follows Jeff Mix, a traveling musician who ends up at the Gateway Motel, coincidentally located in the city where he once got married. That night, a gunshot echoes through the air, signaling that a life will be lost. With a cast of dubious characters, the bullet could be intended for any of them: the sex worker, the motel manager, the mobster, the swindler, or the enigmatic man looking for a woman and her child.
