The movie centers on Xu Lai, an ex-artist whose aspirations were sidelined by life’s demands. Now, his world is centered around his wife, Cai Bo, who is fixated on starting a family, along with the peculiarities of his unconventional relatives and his mundane, unremarkable life. Xu Lai yearns to rekindle his romance with his first love, Yang Yi, during an upcoming holiday.
