Jimmy and Tiger are part of China’s national wushu team and are in Los Angeles for exhibition performances. Tiger, however, has a secret plan to stay in L.A. and build his own reputation. When Jimmy discovers Tiger’s intention to defect, he tries to intervene but ends up missing his return flight to China. Stranded and out of his element, Jimmy’s only support comes from Andy, a witty young local. Meanwhile, Tiger becomes involved with a mafia leader. Trouble arises when Tiger misplaces a large amount of cocaine hidden in a detergent box that Andy inadvertently took. This forces Andy and Jimmy to confront Tiger and his gang. Their sole ally is Penny, the girlfriend of Tiger’s mafia boss. Once close friends, Jimmy and Tiger now find themselves as fierce adversaries.
