After the passing of his wife, Carl decides to give his 12-year-old son, Janeau, a new beginning by relocating to Mont Saint-Hilaire. There, Janeau befriends Julie, a skilled Pee-Wee hockey goalie with her sights set on participating in the yearly World Tournament in Quebec. Julie persuades Janeau to become part of the team, but he struggles to gain acceptance from his teammates, particularly Joey, the standout player who faces relentless pressure from his father.
