Leo, a 74-year-old lizard who has grown weary of his monotonous life, has spent countless years in a Florida classroom alongside his turtle companion. Upon discovering he has just a year left to live, he dreams of breaking free to explore the world beyond his glass enclosure. However, his plans take an unexpected turn as he becomes entangled in the challenges faced by his troubled students, including dealing with a particularly harsh substitute teacher.
