Louise, a 28-year-old from Brooklyn who lacks direction, has just ended a relationship and dabbles in music. Though she won’t admit it, she’s struggling with depression. One night, while intoxicated and acting foolishly, she falls and fractures her hip. This incident places her in a rehabilitation center surrounded by patients much older than herself. There, she encounters Antonina, a grumpy elderly Polish lady who doesn’t speak English. Louise takes on the role of her caregiver. Although neither is thrilled with the situation, it’s a chance for both to confront the realities of aging. Eventually, everyone must mature.
