Anticipation fills the air as a Hollywood team arrives in Lawrenceton to shoot a movie centered on the town’s detective librarian, Aurora Teagarden. The excitement takes a dark turn when the film’s star is discovered dead in her dressing room. Aurora calls upon her Real Murders Club to help piece together the mystery. Meanwhile, she grows increasingly uneasy about Aida’s interest in the film’s director, who, like everyone else on set that day, is under suspicion. Martin is particularly anxious about Aurora’s well-being, especially after discovering that the film’s screenwriter, who shares a romantic past with her, becomes the main suspect.
