Seventeen-year-old Eli relocates with his family to a secluded farm owned by the solitary Waylon, a man haunted by a shadowy history. As Eli’s family endeavors to rejuvenate the barren land, Eli himself becomes captivated by the surrounding forests. During his time on the farm, he encounters the enigmatic Amanda, who offers him an apple. The following day, she makes him vow to stay away from the dense woods. However, after a tumultuous confrontation with his father, Eli breaks his promise one night and discovers Amanda’s lifeless body hanging from a tree.
