Drawing from an extensive collection of archival material, this documentary chronicles Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s journey from 1955 to 1968, highlighting his transformation from a local activist to a globally recognized figure in the Civil Rights movement. The film features seldom-seen clips of King’s speeches, demonstrations, and arrests, interwoven with footage of prominent allies and adversaries of the movement, and enriched by moving testimonials from some of Hollywood’s most famous personalities.
