Basri, a 55-year-old railroad watchman, spends his days walking long distances along the tracks. His mind is constantly preoccupied with the search for his son. Eighteen years prior, while attending university in Istanbul, his son was detained by the police for participating in antigovernment protests. After that, he vanished without a trace.
