In contemporary Texas, Maya (Tallie Medel) and her intermittently romantic partner Jules (Betsy Holt) crash their car following a night of rural partying and youthful antics. They are pulled from the wreck by Freddy (Robert Longstreet), a divorced oil worker whose reserved exterior begins to break down as he recognizes parts of himself and his hidden longings in Maya. While Jules heals, Maya and Freddy form a connection that alleviates the oppressive quiet of their small-town existence. Together, they gently inspire each other to pursue their deepest desires, or at least to discover what those desires might be.
