Isabelle, a celebrated and adored actress from the Netherlands, vanishes while vacationing in Belgium. Her abductor is Jeanne Bitor, a bartender and artist with a facial disfigurement. Jeanne harbors deep resentment about her ‘unattractive’ looks and is fixated on the decay and demise of living beings. Driven by this obsession, she kidnaps Isabelle, depriving her of food until she dies, all the while capturing her transformation through her paintings.
