After leaving an art gallery showcasing her creations, Ali, a gifted artist, is involved in a car crash with her husband and their young child. Tragically, her husband and child are killed instantly, while Ali survives but loses her vision. On her doctor’s advice, she employs a caretaker named Jeff to help her adapt to her new life without sight. Jeff’s support becomes crucial as Ali returns home and begins to adjust; she even forms a quick friendship with her new neighbor, Linda. However, it soon becomes clear that Jeff is growing increasingly possessive and envious of Ali. His fixation turns violent when Ali expresses her desire to become more self-reliant and reduce his involvement. Predictably, Jeff reacts poorly, and Ali must rely on her other senses to fight for her survival.
