Rich Donato works as a janitor at a high school in Oregon, where students frequently turn to him for guidance and see him as a role model. However, there’s a catch: Rich never completed high school. The school board gives him an ultimatum—obtain his GED within a month or face losing his position. Despite his initial attempt to pass the exam independently, he doesn’t succeed. In response, his wife mobilizes the community to support Rich in his quest to pass the test. With the backing of both teachers and students, Rich feels empowered to overcome any obstacle.
