Jorg Geissner, a German banker, experiences a complete upheaval in his life when he travels to Paladiki Island in Greece. His journey, intended as a business trip to evaluate a local project dubbed “Galapagos in Greece” by the islanders, is tied to a loan and credit his bank provided. As a diligent German, Jorg aims to conduct a thorough investigation. However, Panos, who owns a mini-mart, and the island’s mayor, do everything they can to obstruct his efforts, attempting to hide an unpleasant truth. Despite their covert interference, which thwarts each of his attempts, Jorg’s stay on the island stretches out, reminiscent of The Odyssey, compelling him to reassess his life’s priorities and responsibilities.
