Divided into three segments, “Cabrito” narrates the tale of a man tormented by those he holds dear. The film opens by exploring his father’s story and the family’s descent into cannibalism. The middle section shifts to his mother, whose warped religious beliefs bring out the darkest aspects of her son. The concluding segment centers on the protagonist’s ultimate emotional release, as he abducts his first love, Rosalita, and reenacts the grotesque and inhumane nurturing he experienced within his family.
